Viseca, one of Switzerland`s biggest credit card issuer, combined all of their coexisting websites and online services into one unified platform. My Job was to merge their online services into one unified service to allow Viseca-customers to administrate their finances and cards in one place.
BKW is an international energy and infrastructure company. Based on the rebranded corporate identity by Process-group, i was given the task to interpret and adapt the CD to their online appearence. The identity newly designed was all about reducing complexity and increasing emotions.
Comparis offers more than 37 different online services. From real estate to health insurance. Every subsite looked different and some of them weren`t responsive. A relaunch in this scale needed a systemic approach. We developed a modular concept to build a framework of building blocks, which allowed us to quickly rebuild every service.
Optimatis is an online service to handle all insurance-related matters in one place. It allows it's users to manage their insurances and optimize them with the click of a button.

From paper to functional high-end prototypes.
Back in 2015, Atfront was contracted, to design a smarthome application, which allows its user to control heaters. In addition to adjusting all the heaters values individually, the app included more complex functions like timeline automatizations and configuring customized room or house presets.
For the annual Schwingfest in Estavayer, we at Atfront designed the official event application for Swisscom. Since there is no established digital system to visualize the results and overall progress of a Schwing -tournament, a new one had to be designed for this specific sports event. In order to do that a deep analysis of this sport had to be done including all the rules and peculiarities.
The St. Moritz Ski World Cup app, accompanies the visitors to the World Cup finals before and during the event. In close cooperation with Swisscom Event & Media Solutions as general contractor, Atfront has brought in the user experience expertise and developed the entire interaction and visual design.
GRID was a student project I did together with Thomas Jakob and Alain Groeneweg back in 2010. The app allowed it's user to access the poster database of the Museum für Gestaltung Zürich. We have deliberately decided against complex features like search functions or filters and for random results. The app is meant to inspire its user with posters, he would not necessarily search for. The fact that it's not possible to search for certain images again makes the personal collection of posters more valuable and gives the app a game like character. Despite the app was done quite long ago and the visual design looks a bit outdated, I still like the simplicity of the concept and the idea behind it.

When digital artifacts merge with our physically present environment they imply a certain inherent but non-existent materiality. This work explores how material properties could be simulated visually in holograms to increase a more natural feeling of interaction. The findings were shown in a fictional scenario that includes prototypical holographic office toys for malicious supervisors.
A quick project we realized during a masters course in 2017. My task in this project was, to program the whole experience within two weeks. Back then I did not write a single line of code in C#, nor have I worked with a game engine before. I‘ve learned everything within these two weeks and was able to deliver on time for the conference.

Together with Jan Huggenbert, we developed a multi-touch game that aims to raise awareness regarding global warming. The players need to protect the earth from incoming sunrays and reflect them back into the atmosphere. Meanwhile, vehicles pollute the air and create clouds which make it harder to reflect the sunrays. The project was the result of a course at the Zurich University of the Arts.
In 2015 we at Atfront developed and designed a tablet game for school lessons. The game tells a story about a time traveler coming from the future to save his destroyed earth by altering the past. The game teaches kids how to save energy at home and what impact these small behaviour changes could have in the future. By handling small tasks like using energy efficient instead of conventional light bulbs, they can earn points to upgrade their houses.

Ghost remote was a computer vision project I did with Dinis Meier back in 2010. The goal of this project was, to develop a gesture-based TV remote control with a conventional webcam. The implemented features consisted of swiping between channels, adjusting volume, handing over the virtual remote control and pausing, when nobody is looking.

Cuma360 was my bachelor project, I did together with Thomas Jakob back in 2011. The idea was to rethink the concept of a handheld camera. We came up with a modular camera system, which allows its user to adjust the framing and format by altering the physical form of the camera itself in a simple intuitive way.
